I have been married to my amzing wife for over 30 years and am a proud parent and parent-in-law to three wonderful children and their spouses, and a newly christened grandfather (Opa). My passion for Disney/Pixar could almost be described as needing a 12-step program, similar to my enthusiasm for comic books, particularly Spider-Man. I find relaxation near the water, especially the ocean, and have a love for travel, with destinations like Israel and Hawaii on my wishlist. Blue is my favorite color, and while I frequently purchase books, I often find myself acquiring more before reading those I own. Vegetables aren’t my preferred choice of food.
Professionally, I am affiliated with the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) and the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT). My advanced training includes workshops and externships focused on building lasting connections, emotionally focused therapy, and various facilitator training programs, including PREPARE/ENRICH and SYMBIS, aimed at enriching marriage and family counseling.

Abby Pavie
Office Manager
As the Office Manager at Mosaic Relationship Counseling, Abby ensures that daily operations run seamlessly so clients and therapists can focus on what matters most—healing and growth. With a background as a public-school teacher, she brings strong skills in organization, communication, and problem-solving, all of which support her ability to manage the details that keep the practice running smoothly.
Abby holds a degree in Theatre, which has given her a unique perspective on empathy, storytelling, and human connection—values that align closely with the mission of Mosaic Relationship Counseling. She is passionate about creating a welcoming and supportive environment for every client who walks through the door, and she is always ready to assist with questions or concerns.
Outside of her professional role, Abby enjoys exploring her creative side and finding joy in life’s simple pleasures. She is a fan of flowers, pasta, and all things pink, and she treasures time spent with her family and boyfriend. Her love for disco balls, rubber duck collecting, and stationery adds a playful touch to her personality. Abby also dreams of traveling to Italy one day and continues to look for new ways to spread laughter and positivity wherever she goes.
Gamble Hanes
Administrative Office Manager
Gamble has more than 34 years of experience as an administrative professional. As Office Manager, she is responsible for overseeing all the administrative functions in the office, drawing on her education, experience and organizational skills. Gamble loves a challenge and believes that “learning is a long-life process and the knowledge that you have is never enough.” Gamble is inspired daily by her husband Jeff and their children.
I’ve been happily married to Jeff for over three decades and am a proud parent and grandparent to five children and eight grandchildren. My passion for event hosting shines through in my love for crafting charcuterie boards, home décor, and floral arrangements. Travel and exploration, especially near oceans, excite me. According to my children, green is my favorite color. I possess a unique strength, demonstrated by lifting my grown children with my legs, and I engage in IDPA competition shooting as a hobby.
Dr. Shiloh Hope
Chief Fluffy Officer
James hired me because of my outstanding qualifications. I’m proficient in compassion, emotional regulation, affection, snuggles, and kisses. I’m here to help provide animal-assisted therapy for James’ clients when it is appropriate. There is no extra charge for having me in your session.
I’m a charming Bernedoodle, a mix of Poodle and Bernese Mountain Dog, known for my love of treats, particularly Red Barn Bully Sticks and cheese. Belly rubs are my favorite, and despite being the smallest in my litter, I have a big personality. My hypoallergenic coat allows me to enjoy the rain outdoors without concern. Within my family, I hold a special place in James’ heart, creating a playful rivalry with my human siblings.
